theartofmegan We went to Maui almost 2 months ago, and I came back engaged! We stayed in Kihei, and went all over the place on the west shore. It was beautiful, and I'm just so excited that my parents have a timeshare there, because I want to go back as soon as possible!

I prefer wood knitting needles, because they are easier to learn with and are warm. However, I like the speed of aluminum (not to mention the click, clack). Wha is your favorite type of knitting needle and why?

theartofmegan I like bamboo needles the best because they are smooth, easy to work with, but still have just enough grip to keep me from dropping loops. However, my nana had a pretty large selection of aluminum needles, so that's the majority of what I have to knit with....

theartofmegan I love to knit, though I am definitely still a beginner. I like to knit hats, mittens, gloves and fingerless gloves, scarves, toys, and simple sweaters... usually tank sweaters. More often than not, I learn how to do a project by reading a few patterns...

theartofmegan Well, I guess it kind of grosses me out, really. Number one, as everyone else has said, the money spent on those trees and all the live flowers, fruit, and such that they use for decorations could be better spent making gift baskets for families in need....
