Vicki, #1 Creek Girl I can relate. I never had a near-drowning experience, but I took lessons at a YWCA pool when I was little. To this day, the smell of chlorine makes my heart race. At my age, I have no intentions of learning how to swim. Hope I don't regret it one day.

Fleur Thankfully no, that is not a habit I ever developed. Perhaps because I have very hard and tough nails so it is too much like hard work! My partner's mother always bit her nails until she managed to give it up recently around age 55.
