onions, to cry or not to cry?!

so i was chopping up some onions earlier...and you know what? they haven't affected me lately! i used to cry and cry. my eyes would burn for several minutes after. i've tried a food processor, a chopper we have that sorta "hides"...

I don't know what to do about it anymore. I reached my breaking point this morning. No matter what we're talking about, she lies. Even things like, Did you feed your dog? Yes (nope, I can see the bowl empty and the dog outside)....
