High Speed chases

What do you think of high speed chases? Are they needed or should the police just let them go. Do the risks out weigh the benefits or just the oposite?

wiggedout They should persue only if the person stops. If he runs, let him go and catch him another day. I will not just save the person being chased, but the police, and the public.
