How to clean a cats ears

I think my cat has dirty ears, i'm not sure though. He will shake his head sometimes like hes trying to get something out. Or when we pet him and we run our hands over his ears he shakes his head. How do I clean them out?

wirelessb Albert Einstein is the greater. He came up with stuff that changed the world as we know it today, we would not live the way we do without him. Shakespeare just wrote a lot of stuff we are forced to study about in school.

wirelessb I love taking showers and bath's. Showers just wake you up and let you know that you are clean and ready to go. Bath's are the opposite, they let you know to calm it down and get ready for the end of the day.

wirelessb I do EVERYTHING on the internet. I check my email, I read the news, read comics, check my bank, everything. I am helplessly addicted and without the internet I think I would go into withdrawals and have to go to rehab, lol. The internet is the hub of my life.
