Australian Shepherds

I have read in a couple of different places that the Australian Shepherd is one of the most intelligent dogs out there. I used to own one until sadly she passed away 2 years back and we always thought of her as an intelligent dog....

wish_upon_a_star_100 I dont think it really depends on the breed, all dogs can be taught to do thigs such as sit or come, it just takes longer for certian dogs. Border collies are one breed though that I have to say that i've never met a 'dumb' one. I've only met about one aussie...

I just got a 12 week old keeshond puppy. I love him! He is an awesome dog, but I am having trouble teaching him to "come" any suggestions? Thanks!

wish_upon_a_star_100 He's still a puppy, and you need to remember that. You can still try teaching him though by telling him come, and you could maybe have a treat that he likes in you hands and when he comes you PRAISE him and give him the treat. A word that I teach all my dogs...

wish_upon_a_star_100 My favorite breed is doberman pinscher(of corse that is one of the breeds I own though) but they are loyal, friendly, and a giant couch potatoe.

wish_upon_a_star_100 Well as far as having two boys go, it is best to not have two boys(especially if one, or both is not neuterd) now, I have two boys at home so I know its not impossible to own two boys but a lot of people don't reccomend having two dogs of the same...
