Cell phones in school?

should cell phones be allowed in schools? I very strongly think: they should not! They provide a big distraction from learning, cause the students to play games under their desk in the middle of class, or worse, send each other...

yaffster or if they are allowed to bring them to school but deposit them at the office, or some sort of rule like that. that way, the cell phones are truly there in case of emergency.

yaffster ok that's how you rationalize the criticism AFTERWARDS, but how do you deal with it in the MOMENT?
