Yasser Mattar I salute you. You have dignity. Unfortunately for many other people in many other countries, dignity at the workplace is not an option. They either bow to management, or have no job.

Yasser Mattar I understand. Different bosses have different preferences. And when those preferences become bases of discrimination, everyone who is outside of those preferences lose.

Yasser Mattar They certainly should not. But in many countries, there are no labour laws that check on management. Labour laws only serve to assist management in managing proletariat.

Yasser Mattar Absolutely, workplaces are where we spend the majority of our day! If workplaces were to be toxic, it would really affect us greatly. Yet, I find that not every company is responsible enough to make sure that workplaces are pleasant environments to work in.

Yasser Mattar Oh they will. In some countries, employers are given free reign over employees. Employees are unable to seek redress for issues such as workplace bullying and unfair dismissal. Singapore is one of those countries.

Yasser Mattar I absolutely agree with you. It is a conflation of external factors and internal coping mechanisms. So when we're faced with a toxic situation, we either remove ourselves from that situation, or we evolve internally such that the toxicity does not affect us
