What amount of water should you drink in a day?

I have between 8 and 10 glasses of water a day and people say that is too much. How much should you have. What is best forweight loss to have water before, during or after a meal.

Healthelp Drinking the 8 - 8 oz glasses daily is just enough to keep our bodies hydrated. In order to lose weight, more is needed. Half your body weight in ounces is recommended. If you think about it, it't really all that much more then the 8 glasses you are already...

Healthelp We play catch up on homework during the day unless there are things already planned. I try to get the housework done and organizing done as well so that we can have Sunday for whatever. My husband is off on Sunday so we always have something going on that day....
