what dog breed do you prefer?

we have 13 dogs in my house and obviously we love dogs. but if i were to choose a breed - it would have to be a guard dog so that it can protect me, so i'll go w/ either a german sheperd or rottweiler....what about you?

i know that this could be a good thing and a bad thing. for the scents that i love - i enjoy the scent of nature esp after it rains.i also love the aroma or delicious food and libraries that smell new (as well as brand new cars)....
