Jellen The lift chair was one of the first things I bought after I brought my husband home from the hospital following his massive stroke. He has used it daily, and especially used it the first year or two. It's been about 5 years now and he is not as weak. Sometimes...

A few years ago, we purchased a new mattress. This is not a small investment as we have a king sized bed. We really did our homework on this! We searched until we found a fair price on a very good mattress. It has a pillow top....

Jellen Mostly, I forget to rotate it. Unless I am moving bedroom furniture around, it stays pretty much where it sits. I know it makes sense to rotate it and it will extend its life, but I just don't think about it. Probably doesn't get flipped more than a few times...

For the most part I really like our apartment. It’s a good size, it’s well insulated, there’s no bugs/rodents, everything works (except the dishwasher), it’s all electric and it’s a good solid apartment. There’s only one thing...

I was brought up that ladies only wore dresses to church. Now a days people wear what ever they want. Jeans, t-shirts, etc. Do you still find that you stick to the old traditions about church dress clothes. I finally broke down a...

This question is for AssociatedContent writers. How much do you earn from AssociatedContent per month ? How about per day ? How many articles do you have?

Jellen I joined AC about 3 years ago but have been active there for the past year. I have about 260 pieces, not all articles. Some are poems or recipes. But I have a goal of writing an article per day.
Most days, my articles make at least 3 bucks, sometimes more,...

I usually go to the day old counter to get my bread, rather then pay $6.00 a loaf of it fresh (I am diabetic and usually buy the multi-grain bread.) Usually I get Country Harvest the one with the flax seeds in them, but this time,...

Jellen I too, am a diabetic and I only buy sprouted-grain bread. It's flourless bread and keeps the blood sugar much lower. It's the probably the lowest type bread on the glycemic index. But I've been able to buy it for about 4 bucks per loaf. Where do you live that...

Have you ever had a caregiver? Or, has a member of your family had a caregiver?
If so, were they hard workers or just plain lazy? What's your experience with caregivers?
What make a good caregiver?

Which do you prefer--a quick shower or a long bath? I guess it would depend on how much time you had. But if you did have time, would you linger in a bath filled with bubbles, perhaps candle light surrounding you, and a glass of...
