Luci CJ Apple is the only major phone manufacturer which didn't adhere to the USB industry standard. Instead, they are using the Lightning connector, designed solely by their company.

Luci CJ I'm not sure why, but there are plenty of tests in which phones are abused on Youtube, like dropping the phone from different heights, or freezing it in Coke, or trying to scratch it with a chisel.
