what kind of material you would like to choose for your kitchen cabinet?

Now I plan to buy a new kitchen for my house and I am not a decor expert, I donn't know how to choose the cabinet material coz there are quite a lot of materials the dealer proposed to me,such as solid wood,laminate,melamine...
