Nrealitydenial The personal involvement really does make this decision harder to make but I do need to talk to my vet. You are right about that. And I need to put my personal feelings aside for what is best for my pet.

Does anyone have experience with weight loss surgery as a patient or know someone who has? I'm looking into different types from Gastric bypass surgery to lapband surgery. How do they compare?

Nrealitydenial Thank you for your comments! I'm just exploring options right now. I know surgery is permanent so I have to decide if I can live with those kinds of changes long term from the surgery as well as the short term pain.
