UPS stands for Uninterupted power supply.It keeps the system running when there is a powercut.you may loose your data if there is a powercut when you are using your computer and you dont have UPS.My UPS is giving problem any body...

Protonic ya it does effect... the computer will be faster n the heavy applications will be easier to work..lie graphic designing or gaming....i suggest 1 GB ram!

cd-rw drive help

i'm having problems with my cd-rw drive, it keeps on ejecting even if i don't press the eject button. I've been using it for around 3yrs. What could be causing this automatic eject? Is it caused by a virus? or just hardware...

Protonic check the connections... press it tightly once...if the problem is still there then just change its data bus.

Laptop or Desktop?

Which do you use? I have both but I rarely use my desktop. It is old and in bad need of updating. My laptop is about a year old and still runs really well. I don't think I could ever go back to a desktop again.
