RDugas Well...since I live in south Louisiana and the humidity is killer here, Im gonna have to think of some way to dry them quicker. The project is due next Friday! Do you think if warmed up the oven a little if that would help dry them quicker?

RDugas I read somewhere while I was searching that the colored fireplace logs contain copper so thats probably something that will change the color of the flame. Do you think I could tie it with some twine? Would that hold it tight enough?

RDugas Thanks for the help, but I really dont want to spend money on a "newspaper log making machine" because I won't ever be doing this again. It sounds like a messy oputside job. I will try the candle wax tip though
