Going to funerals:Showing sympathy OR Just going 'coz you don't have a choice?

I don't see why people still have to go in some relatives or just somebodys funeral when they barely even know the person. I mean I dn't disrespect the dead it's just that having funerals is something one attends to to sympathize...

I have always done the dishes at my house. There are four people living in my house and I do the dishes. We had a dishwasher but it broke. Don't you just hate when things brake? I used to complain and hate doing the dishes but now...
