1G memory enough for Vista?

I am thinking about update my OS from XP to Vista. Microsoft says 1G memory is enough to run Vista. But one of my friends says his computer has 1G memory and feel it's painful to run Vista. He has been planning 2G...

Tom_D_2 1gig of memory is enough to run vista, and no you wont have alot of problems. I have been using for a while now, with only 1 gig of memory and i can't compain. And yes i do more then just using office and stuff...

How much time do you spend at a computer everyday?

I am sort of an IT worker, so I have to stay at a computer more than 10 hours per day. Is computer that necessary in your daily life? How much time do you spend at a computer everyday?

Tom_D_2 Too much actually. I study IT so at school i'm always behind my laptop. When i come home i need to do some asignments, so again, behind the laptop. I would guess 8-9 hours/day.
