keeping computer fast

Guys, i would like to know some cool ways to keep a computer fast and upto date. right now iam using a registry and temporary file cleaner called Ccleaner. its quite effective, but any other softwares that might help?

Yukito590 Hi I'm also using 1GB DDR2 633mhz RAM. I also use CCleaner but I only clean the registry once a month. (always save the back up incase of instability) My advise is only Defragment your drive once a month. Someone in this discussion suggested defragmenting...

Yukito590 Only time I have taken a magazine was when I was at my Dentist. I was reading this gaming magazine for over an hour, then when it was time to leave I just asked the lady if I could take the magazine with me and she didn't mind. She got it for free anyways.

Yukito590 I haven't signed up for any PTC sites yet because don't they pay you like 50 cents to click 5000 Ads? I see that taking way too much time for 50 cents, and I don't like Ads/Adware/spyware. Hmm I get the feeling most of these pay survey sites and such are...
