How important is it for children to know how to swim? At what age should they learn?

HoPPeRtheSTaLkER I also think it is very important that kids be taught, somehow, how to swim...whether that br through lessons or family or self-taught, because this is one skill that is I believe is quite likely to come in need sometime in life.

lafavorito Yes it's very important. I think at age 4 they are olde enough to be enrolled in swimming lessons but it is also helpful if they are introduced to the swimming pool or sea when they are still infants like 6 months.

Khangura no i think kids need a break from the 10months of school. 10 months is a long time and more then enough to teach a course in depth detail. An extra 2months is not needed at all. Let them enjoy life as well. If needed the summer school programs are avaliable...

missinghim NO!!!! A woman could NEVER have too many pairs of shoes!!!! As a matter of fact, I'll be purchasing another pair of stillettos for my collection this coming Friday.

ElusiveButterfly I have lost count of how many pairs I own. My husband said 100 pair, but I beg to differ with him. When you find a pair you like or is on sale how can you resist. I tend to buy what is most comfortable, but I like to alternate what I wear.

intricategirl I have *probably* 400 pairs of shoes. And while I don't want to believe that it's too many, I agree that it's getting a little excessive.

cikedo Trampolines are very dangerous and I wouldn't risk letting my kid get hurt. My step-dad works as a paramedic and has run calls with people who landed wrong on a trampoline. They can get really messed up.

ioanamold Only one year, but I guarantee that I'll stay married till I die. But I don't know when this will happen, that's true..so I can't say I'll be the longest :)

breezie I collect My Little Ponies. My daughter (she's 8) and I collect them together. So far we have around 300 ponies as well as playsets and a ton of merchandise. We collect both the ones from the 80'a as well as the newer style, though I prefer the older ones....
