How would you feel if you donated money to a political candidate only to find his opponent had publicly denounced you and defamed you? How would you feel if the man who did this were someone with the power to investigate, audit,...

BalthasarTheRat I remember this argument, only John Adams was President and Thomas Jefferson was looking for votes. If these two men, as great as we see them in hindsight, had their way, "bad-mouthing" a sitting President would be against the law.
Does that help anyone...

When you tell someone the truth, often they argue, fuss, and fight. It's almost like they really do not want the truth. Are lies easier to believe?? Is hearing what you want to hear instead of what is, really better??

BalthasarTheRat It is always easier to believe what you want to hear so if someone is seeking to give you what you want, it's not going to matter if it is truth or fiction. The fact that we often find lies to be the easier to tell may reflect on how many people are in denial...

Well Obama in an surprising act has issued an veto threat against CISPA. I call it surprising because he recently signed NDAA which clearly violated people's Civil Liberties as well as Constitutional Rights. Yet he signed...

BalthasarTheRat Part of the differece is that NDAA gave decisive power to the White House where CISPA is just an intelligence gathering update that really doesn't mean as much to Obama (or any future Prez). So, yes, I think he will stick to the veto, but, as someone mentioned...

This past election, I was one of the voters that turned my state from red to blue, for the first time since the JFK election. Needless to say, it definitely made me feel like my vote counted.
Regardless of your politics, does...

BalthasarTheRat It just ticks me off that there is not a "purple" state. Most of us ride the fence between parties but collectively we add up to either red or blue, giving politicians an unrealistic view of their "mandated cry from the people". If we think of swing states as...

If you're a news reporter, you would strive to make sure that what you're reporting is accurate and makes sense right?
So, why then, would a writer write something as stupid as I just read?

What, truly, do you think the republicans would have accomplished these last few years, if their number one goal wasn't to make Obama a one-termer?
Don't get me wrong, it does take a lot of work to create the perception that...
