what to upgrade?

i have an ibanez gio jumpstart set and i would like to give it an upgrade..in your opinion what should i do first? 1. change the pickups? or 2. make a custom preamp? or 3. install a built in effect?

blurenciel you need a lot of practice..you may start with simple songs first..sing along using chords..forget about tabs..when you start to get used to it then you may consider playing using tabs..humans crawl before they learn to walk.. i have been playing for 8...

blurenciel thanks sleepykitty..yeah you're right..need to concentrate on playing first..no matter how great your guitar is, if you can't play well it will sounds bad too..lol..thanks again..

blurenciel hi PhatBoy168..what i mean is vtec-e or d15b or d15z1 engine..it is an engine that designed for fuel economy but lacks power..
