cheryl2783 My family and I are not that close. I talk to my parents about once a week and my siblings on the holidays. We have always been like that so I did not have a hard time moving away. I live 350 miles away. And in about 8 months, I will be much further.

cheryl2783 For now, the only book that I think she would enjoy is "what to expect the first year" Besides that, parenting just comes naturally. Books can't teach you how to take care of your kids.

cheryl2783 I think the only thing I have gotten so far that was a waste was too much clothing. My son is now 9 months old and I already have two huge bins of clothes that no longer fit. Some things he has never even worn. Everything else I have bought has been worth it.

cheryl2783 I have a first aide kit, batteries, and a flashlight. That is all. If we have a hurricane warning, I will get a case of water. And I keeo my emergency numbers in my cell phone and on the fridge.

cheryl2783 My parents had one, but sold it. They had a marriot one, so they sold it for my parents. It is very hard to sell the timeshare if the company won't do it for you.

cheryl2783 I love going to the movies. But I have not been able to go for the last 9 months. I have a 9 month old baby. I can't tale him because he might get cranky, and I don't want to bother anyone else. So for now, I just stick to DVDs.
