corilat yeh but still...imagine say the matrix really is true...then how likely would it actually be that someone would think up a movie that describes EXACTLY how we're really living! And I still don't think the machines would take the chance that someone would...

I want to buy a new laptop, but have discovered that you can no longer get Windows XP - only Windows Vista is available. And I hate VISTA!!! I find all the new changes on Vista are so un-user-friendly. Am I alone in this view?...

corilat Maybe, and hopefully we will, but still...why create something that customers won't like immediately? As I mentioned, I really like the Wizards that let you quickly and easily go through steps to burn CDs and upload photos. I never liked using other programs...

corilat I prefer to see something before I buy it, so I don't like buying online or through mail orders... but thanks anyway.

corilat Do you mean your husband started using Vista? I agree with you, and I don't understand why they've created a new OS with so many things that ppl don't like... upgrading is about getting better, but instead they've taken away the things that were good about...

corilat yeah, a lot of the 'new user discussions' I find seem to be very bad english, one-liner discussions, and often I can't make any sense at all what they're asking. Or maybe I just always look at the wrong time... I like recent too! (most of the time)

Anyone watched the christmas special? What did you guys think of it? It was a bit wierd, not as good as usual, don't you think? I miss Rose Tyler! Although apparently she's coming back towards the end of next season! Yay!

corilat Yeah that's true, but what about gifts from people who you're not likely to see again, or you don't see often or aren't so close to... In my example, the people who gave me the earings didn't even know me well enough to know if I have earrings! and they're not...
