philjas I think you should be very careful here or you might lose programs and files you want to keep. Reformatting your hard drive will wipe out EVERYTHING. If your computer is pretty new you probably have a partition on your hard drive that contains all your basic...

noreligion You could reformat the drive. Do you have a copy of Windows XP or Vista? Reformat your drive and install Windows. Only problem is you won't have the programs you had on it when you bought it.

zeroflashx2 That's gonna be a bit tough without the CD. You can still reformat the drive but I suggest you do not until you've secured a Windows CD. While waiting, back your system up. Once you have the disc, you will be ready by then.

zeroflashx2 You could reformat your drive. Just have your operating system ready with you. You will lose all the software that are installed on your PC. You'd have to re-install them again. Don't forget to back up all your documents. Try to do a full format...
