Why do women adopt their husband's surname?

I really wonder why? I think women should have the freedom of choosing their last name. Do you think this is a manifestation of man's masculinity in our society?

geejoy well i think it has something to do with our faith. it says that we need to submit to our husbands right? maybe its included in there surrending also our last name..

What you prefer the most, reading or movies?

Most of the people i know here in our place prefer to watch movies rather than reading books. They're always objecting my likes of reading for they told me that reading is a boring thing to do...But i enjoy it...How about you?

geejoy well, been there also smints8985.....well, my advice to you is lengthen your patience.....you cannot do anything coz she is still your mother and no matter how irritating our mothers are...well, we have to give maximum tolerance to them...
