Any advice for someone trying to get into Freelance writing?

I have recently begun looking into doing Freelance writing from home. Does anyone out there have any advice for a new writer getting into the business? Good places to start writing? Where to look for work?

gotbot Helium is legitimate but you have to submit a lot of articles and do a lot of rating in order to benefit. Even then the money isn't great. Personally, I like Helium because of the competition and because the articles are only 200-300 words generally. I look at...

gotbot Thanks for the reply. I have major depressive disorder, diagnosed professionally. I take 100mg of Zoloft daily and it helps considerably. Exercise and prayer also help take the edge off, but without the meds I'm a wreck. I know because I've tried a few times...

gotbot It must be so frustrating to watch this as a family member, feeling helpless. What helps me is medication, exercise and prayer. Best of luck.

gotbot I never took advise when I was 16, but I'll give you some anyways. Stop now and never look back. You don't have strong will. The addiction just hasn't completely gotten it's dirty nasty claws into your relatively new soul yet. Run!
