Why is India giving aid to Afganistan?

India has spent at least $1 billion as its aid to afganistan.I wonder why cant our govt use that money to uplift the poor people in india as well as improve the country's infrastructure,instead of giving aid to afganistan!Isnt...

jayachandra2020 It is very good that INDIA is in a position to help other countries , it may improve INDO-AFGAN relationships. But it is better to keep away with the muslim countires .INDIA instead spend that money for improving the industries in india

jayachandra2020 Unless and until the corruption is reduced , india cannot develop. Also the youth is not interested in politics and other factors like control of population , literacy rate ,good infrastructure , tourism will develop our country there by improving the wealth...
