krista0867 No it is not the cashier's job. It may be good customer service, but it is not a job description or requirement of the cashier's duties.

krista0867 No, they don't have to do that for you. They are specifically NOT paid to do that in the contract they sign with the company. How do I know? I worked as a cashier and got in trouble for doing it for an old lady one day when we were busy.
