I used to use regular, bleached white notebook paper, but began writing on recycled paper a few years ago. Actually, I use Banana Paper. I like the look of the paper, but all the visible fibers detract from the actual handwriting....

lacurandera i bought 100 pages of typing paper for $2.49 and a 100 page spiral for the same price. 8 1/2 x 11. it is expensive, but i like it.
