How long have you been using a computer? I have been using a computer since the DOS days,before computers had a hard drive and 64k of memory was considered a lot of memory. Not to try to date myself, but it has been a long time.

mandysdad Yeah, Vista is the ME of today. (Me was the operating system before XP that was a flop for Microsoft.)

mandysdad I remember seeing those punch cards. I also remember the removable drives that the had at the college I was attending. The disk platter was the size of a 33 record. Remember those?

my laptop has two slots for memory, i want to upgrade i will remove both 512. Should i buy 1 two gig or 2 one gig, and does it even matter? i do not thin ki will upgrade anymore as the laptop will be replaced so there is no need...

mandysdad Right, it does depend on what your computer mainboard is able to handle. Most of the new ones can go up to at least 4 gb of ram. So buying 2 gb sticks might top it out. It also depends on the Operating system. I believe XP will not be able to use all 4gb.

mandysdad It also seems like they are taking ideas from movies from other countries. Japan is a good example.

mandysdad Sometimes, but most of the time it is a problem with a program that causes the computer to freeze up. It is mostly on windows computers not to sure about apple. If you have never seen one that means that your computer has not had and major conflicts.

mandysdad As I said sometimes computers just do that. With the thousands of lines of code running there are times when things can go bad. It is often said it is best to reformat and reload everything once a year, I am not so sure. As long as you know the programs you...
