How long does it take you to remember all of your student's names the first day?

I am a teacher in training, and I have a problem with remembering all of my student's names within the first 30 minutes of class. Do you have this problem? What do you do to help with this?

SageMother Name tags on desks are a good way to make remembering easier, or using a seating chart so you can look at it when you need to address a student by name.

Do you think that Mariah or Christina is the better singer. I'm leaning more towards Christina. It's a tough call though. What do you think?

sassygirlanne007 I too agree, that it is a hard call on who is better. They both are very talented but I would have to leans tword Christina too.
