These have shown up hanging from everything in my backyard. It is some sort of bug I believe because I've seen it moving once it has fallen to the ground. I've tried researching online but have not been able to figure it out....

808state another user thinks it could be a cocoon for a moth. that sounds most correct so far. My husband didn't think it moved either, but I know for sure I saw it moving across the cement. It was so strange!

808state Oh wow, I've never heard of it affecting horses. We have lots of horses here in the islands. They think the slug or snail's trail can even transfer the disease. It sounds like a horribly painful disease.
