What is your opinion on this? Has Foo Fighters been able to carve a niche for itself in the music industry? Has it been successful in breaking away from that Nirvana-breakup-band tag?? Does it affect them in any way??

nischalvasant Hell yeah!...Foo FIghters is a band by itself and with the exception of dave grohl being in the band, I see no connection with Nirvana!

I'm trying to write a song with my guitar and I don't know whether I should start with the lyrics and then with the melody or vice versa. what's your advice?

nischalvasant What I do is i come up with a first line: to start a train of thought...for the lyrics...then try to come up with a good melody for it. From then on, i just sit with my guitar...experimenting until i come up with something...

nischalvasant That is an unfair question. Both of their vocals fitted in brilliantly with the style of music their bands played and that is what makes the BAND great: as a whole!
