I'm hoping they've brought back some of the older writers for the movie, because the recent episodes have been getting pretty lame. I'm expecting great things, though, because it's taken them so long to start working on it....

nkife52 Now that I think of it, the 30-minute episodes do seem kind of rushed sometimes. It can be hard to notice since most of us are used to fast-paced TV story lines, but maybe the movie will slow things down a bit and let them expand.

nkife52 I agree that they're not completely mainstream, especially compared to U2, and I give them credit for sticking to what they like to do best.

nkife52 It'll be interesting to see how the many Simpsons fans react when the movie is released. In the back of my mind I am almost expecting a bit of a disappointment, as you say; it just seems like it would take a lot of creativity to make it work.

nkife52 Creep is probably their most famous song in the mainstream sense, but I don't think the band even plays it any more. It's definitely one of their more radio-friendly hits that is recognized by a lot of people.

nkife52 I like it better as well. It may mean extra work in inserting all those extra letters, but I think it makes the words look nicer.

nkife52 Haha.. that's kind of odd that your name came from an obituary column. It's a nice name, though. My dad's girlfriend's name is Judy. I think she's a little too old to have been named after Judy Garland though.

Also, who would headline? There are way too many bands and artists that I would have play, it would have to be a three-day festival at least. I would have to have a band like AC/DC or The Rolling Stones headline, though.

nkife52 Yeah that's odd that you don't get the same kind of weather that us Canadians do. I guess it has something to do with the air flow patterns of the world and all the arctic wind we get.
