Recently I found out that a local school in my area was teaching half the class in english and the other half in spanish to make sure all the spanish speaking strudents could understand. WHY! Why can't the spanish speaking...

phenomenon intolerance is the main cause of conflicts, wars, terrorism etc etc... Besides english is NOT the first language spoken in your country, wheter ur from the US, UK, Australia or whatever country you are from....nor will it be the last... Why not try to...

phenomenon The Darfur region would already be helped a lot with a no-fly zone and a handful of international peacekeepers... I can see the US has many troops on the ground but they have more then enough airforce available to create a no-fly-zone....if they would start...

phenomenon Probably somewhere in the future it will be better for the iraqi ppl...i´m not going so far as to say that the situation already is better, therefor there is too much violence still going on... I hope however that the international community will do...

phenomenon I also *suprise suprise* agree with both of you the US can´t just pull out now btw... ;) But maybe they can try some small alterations in their tactics... : - Prevent civilian death, even if you can kill 1000 terrorists it doesn´t justify 1 innocent...

phenomenon :D have to agree with you! Best discussion so far on mylot for me too! But back to the subject... ;) I know this war is costing the american ppl a lot...rescources, money and lives... that doesn´t mean that a small group of ppl is earning a lot during...

phenomenon Its funny that ppl apparently don´t want to see that the entire situation is creating anti US sentiment and whith this more radicals that will commit acts of terror... Fighting violence with more violence only leads to more violence...you cannot break...

phenomenon I never said all the iraqi ppl are against the US... Look, lots of ppl worldwide have at least some anti US-government feelings... the number increased a lot in the past years, look for the reasons for this I urge you... And yes...producers of weapons...

phenomenon We will see won´t we...after the US takes it troops out of Iraq we´ll see if they will get involved in a conflict for humanitarian reasons for once instead of economic reasons... And about oilprices being high....you think that benefits Bush in anyway?...

phenomenon Makes you wonder doesn´t it....you think nobody in ur government thought about invading Iran yet?....or Venezuela? I bet for both scenarios plans have been made....not saying that they will invade but they will keep their options open don´t you think?

phenomenon I am slightly suprised...only slightly though ;) but in what way does the US stand for freedom and understanding? Their government is more and more limiting the freedom of itrs citizens, also they have their troops in several other countries as we speak, also...
