phoenixonthefly i don't think that ps3 is suitable for kid at 8, please consider that there are a lot of violence (and adult content+nudity) in ps3 games, and its almost impossible that your kid wont play that game. i think the best console for your kid is still Nintendo WII,...

phoenixonthefly i think ps3's cell is greater than xbox360's processor, and also there are much more game son ps3, including the awesome final fantasy series....i love that game! surely i'll buy the ps3 when i made to afford it!
