I've figured out the MyLot secret!

This just happened to me! I typed a long response but i couldn't copy and paste because im less than 500 posts, so i just left it...

Yes, you're right, the trick with copying usually works. I had also some posting problems about an hour ago, and had to copy my response which didn't go through but this time the site was obviously too sleepy to realize what I'm doing. It woke up only when I responded another discussion about posting problems!

This often happens to me too. Lately, MyLot goes down for a break or for maintenance and I lose whatever I was writing. Part of Murphy's Law...another really good conversation I just wrote. Wow, you just broke 4000, congrats.

This only works when you have 500 posts, as I couldn't copy before reaching that number. I lost a lot of great posts, as typing in a long message a few times and I was ready to quit. Now I copy any post of three lines or more and put them in my e-mail when the site won't work.

Hello.,hockethal4ever, I also had similr experience before,but then I would copy it onto the notepad first so that even there was some errors or glitches,i would still be able to retrieve it and paste it back on to the response box,one more problem for me because I always get disconencted due to the poor internet connection. when i reached my 500+ points, i had developed the habit of copying my responses just in case anything happens and there it happened many time when mylot gets into trouble.luckily, all my discussions are easily pasted. i really hate this before when i was just starting because you cannot copy and paste your responses.

LOL, I am rolling right now. MyLot has been glitching most of the afternoon. But it seems better now. My luck is...when I type out a long answer, it doesn't post, but if it's just a short couple of sentances, no problem. Hmmmm. Yeah, you whoop that myLot computer, girl.

Well yes, myLot has had some problems letting us post our discussions, thank goodness I have not had any problems like that since last Friday. And I thought you had it figured out how much money we were making, teach me to read through the titles. Take care

I learned this lesson some time ago with yahoo groups. It never failed if I copied it then it would go through however if I didn't, boom it was gone and lost. I got used to copying everything after that. Now most of my groups are via email so I lost the habit but now on here I've restarted it, especially with the really long posts. I don't want to lose them. I lost one the other day but thankfully it was short.

Too funny- I have had this problem several times- Yesterday it seemed like every time I responded the mylot page would sit and think for several minutes- Finally I gave up-- Mylot defeated me! I should try out your secret-- that way I wouldn't have to type and retype and then become disgusted and walk away! thanks for the tip!

I have experienced the same thing before but i cannot copy and paste yet as i have not reached 500 posts. This is a very frustrating thing for me at times when i have make very long and useful posts. Used to think that it is my connection which is faulty but when i visited other fourms and did not experience this, i think it must be problems in the mylot's system.

I don't think that's MyLot, I think that's Murphy! We all know that Murphy is everywhere spreading Murphy's law, and annoying the crud out of everone. Yes, I do that too, copy before posting, and it works every time. One or two or three times in my MyLot career I've forgotten to do that, and my response has disappeared into oblivian.

That's a very good tip. It's very annoying when you type out a very long answer, and it doesn't post. I often don't have the patience to go an do it again. So, in future, I will copy it just in case that happens, and I will have a post. Thanks for the tip!

It happened to me a few days ago and I just stopped posting, I was so annoyed that typed a very long reply and then I lost it all when I pushed the post button. I then learned the day after that there was something wrong with mylot. Sigh, I just hope it does not happen coz, I really lose heart very fast.
