I am really excited! I made my first sale last night on E-Bay. My daughter and I both sell BeautiControl products and I decided to list some of our sets on E-Bay. Well the sale ended last night and two of the sets sold. I'm still waiting to hear about the other two. My daughter and I are really on cloud 10 LOL.

Congrats on your first sale. I read on another discussion that you sent an updated invoice to your buyer after she won the 2nd auction but that she hasn't answered you back and that you also sent her a message asking if she had gotten it. I wouldnt worry too much, looking at your buyers feedback history she is a great buyer with lots of comments about fast payment and good communication. Your auctions look good but there are a couple things I would do on future auctions, 1.use as many keywords in your auction title...example for the auctions that closed BeautiControl Beauti Set Eyeshadow blush lip color...that way you will get more hits to your auction because they will pull up in more searches. 2.Forget about using the subtitle...its just costing you and extra .50 cents. Make sure that you put Delivery Confirmation on anything you take Paypal on, and add insurance on anything you can't afford to replace or refund out of your own pocket. Good luck with all your future auctions.

Thank you very much for your advice. That sounds excellent and I'll do that on my next listings. I'll have to admit I have been sort of concerned about the other buyer. I thought I would have heard from her by now. I noticed looking at her feedback that she had purchased some items yesterday and had already paid for them so that was another reason I was concerned. I had told her in the first invoice that I would ship the merchandise once I have received payment. Since I haven't heard from her and haven't received notification of payment from PayPal I'm going to wait about shipping the merchandise to her. The reason for this is it is actually worth about $200. I don't want to mail it to her and then not get paid. I was very specific about this in the first invoice I sent. Anymore advice that you can give I'll gladly take. Thanks! SheliaLee

Hi brattaxi! I had to run some errands this morning and when I got back home and checked my e-mail I had one from PayPal saying that the lady had paid me. I checked in my PayPal account and the money was there. I'm going to put the merchandise in the mail to her tomorrow so it had a good ending after all. I also will be adding Delivery Confirmation with it. I'm finding out that that is for my protection. Thank you again for your excellent advice.

Did you send the message thru ebay and thru your regular email? If thru regular email I would send thru contact member and let her know that you are just checking because you were afraid that she did not receive your message and that you are leaving for a week and want to make sure that you get her purchases out to her before you leave. Never ever send the items before you get payment, and if its an paypal e-check don't send till it clears.

Good Morning! You are right about the money, but the good news is both of them have already paid me. :) They paid by PayPal and I received notification. After that I checked in my account and the money was there. I appreciate the excellent advice. Hope you have a great day! :) Shelia

Thanks Cathie! We were really surprised that all four items sold. We have received payment already for two of the items that were bought by one lady and I put those in the mail to her today. The one who bought the other two items hasn't sent payment yet so I'm waiting before sending those to her. She may not have a PayPal account and is going to pay by money order. We are going to list some more items this weekend since the listing always goes for seven days. That way they will have time to be looked at while we are gone on our trip. We should have the results by the time we get back. We will be leaving Monday and coming back on Sundary the 24th. I'm really ready for a vacation too LOL. Shelia

Congrats on your first sale! I sell some things on Ebay here and there and so far have never been disappointed. The trouble I always have is trying to make sure I sell it at a high enough price that I cover the listing fee, my paypal fee and make enough over the price of the product I sold. I messed up the first couple of times and actually lost a couple of dollars but now I got the hang of it lol I have never heard of BeautiControl products, are they just make-up products or what? I guess I could go look it up on the internet but than that would take take away from MyLot lol. Ok, Ok I'll go look so people don't think I am lazy lol.

Oh that is wonderful, I remember my first sale on eBay, I started on eBay as a Buyer then after buying so many things and not liking them or wearing them I started selling them back on eBay, that is what first got me addicted, now I am just a freak about the auctions, I love the thrill of the auctions ending, I love waking up in the morning and checking your auctions and seeing how many watchers you gained or bids overnight, I love all of it. I wish you the best on there!

Good Morning! I'm beginning to understand what you mean. I got plum giddy last night when we made that sale. I told my husband "This is fun!" and he said he was proud for me. I'm going to list some more items this weekend. We are going to be out of town all next week so I'll have to wait until we get back home to find out how it is going, but I'll be looking at it ASAP after we get back. Thanks for the words of encouragement. :)

Hi There maddysmommy! I sell BeautiControl skin products and makeup. We have wonderful products and I don't say that just because I sell them. I use them myself and love the way they make my skin feel. My husband can even tell a difference in the way my skin feels. I have just had a few products listed but I'm going to be listing more. If you would like to know more about them just let me know and I'll be glad to give you more information. :) SheliaLee

That's great does it cost anything to get started in the business you are in? If not then it is something that I may be interested in also.

Good Morning! Yes it does cost to get started. You have to purchasae your kit which is a little over $100. After that you always get your products at a discount when you order. If you want to know more about it just send me a PM and I'll be glad to give you my website address. It will give you all the information you need. :) SheliaLee

Congratulations on your first sale on EBay. I have never sold anything on EBay but I have bought several things that my children have asked for. I think EBay is a wonderful site that is helpful to both sellers as well as buyers. Does it make it easier to sell the products on EBay rather then in person? Which way do you prefer to sell the products, on EBay or in person?

Good Morning! I really think it is a close tie KissThis. I can just tell people about the makeup because, of course, I wear it myself and the products usually just sell themselves. I just signed up in March under my daughter. I actually just planned on signing up to buy my own products at a discount but when I start talking about it people get interested. My daughter and I have a party this Friday night at my aunt's house and we are hoping to get more parties booked also. If you just have a few people you can usually get pretty good sales. But I'm looking forward to selling more on E-Bay too because hopefully that will cover the times when we may not have too many parties booked. :)

Sheila Congratulations on your first sale on E-bay. My sister buys and sells things on E-bay all the time, I guess I am going to have to have her teach me how it works.

Congratulations! I love BeautiControl products and I'm actually having a spa party in July for my consultant. I've thought about selling it as well but I'm not sure if I have time for the parties. Keep up the great work! I'm sure you'll do really well selling on Ebay.
