I don't because it's my only phone, so if there's an emergency there is no other way to reach me. Also I occasionally use it as an alarm clock instead of changing the setting my clock if I'm getting up at an unusual time. And most importantly my husband is deployed and I never know when he might call so I have my phone with me and accessible all the time.

I never turn off my cell as I live far away from my Old parents. I keep it in vibrating mode whenever I attend prayer meetings.

Hi, I have two cell phones, one for private use and one for work. I always leave the work one in another room when I go to bed, but keep my private one just in case of emergencies and I also use it as an alarm so it's pretty useful for that anyway.

my husband is overseas, so my cellphone is always on. he's a seaman, there's no way of knowing when is he gonna call, so its a must that a phone is always turn on. even if he's here here it's always on. i don't know, it's just a habit, it will only be off when it's low batt

No i don't. I want to make sure that i will still receive the messages sent to me at that moment that i'm asleep. I don't want to miss those. And in cases of emergency calls, you are still accessible, just be sure that you wake up when it rings.lol

I used to turn off my cellphone right before I go to sleep to save on batteries. But one time, there was a family friend who's son got into an accident. And because of panic she could only dial my number, that time I forgot to turn off the cellphone.
I was so relieved I didn't turn it off because she was able to reach my dad who happened to be a doctor. So he rushed in the hospital to assist them.
If I had turned it off, I don't know what would have happened.
So from then on, I never turn it off. Just in case something bad does happen (I hope not).

No, I don't.
I used to live with my grandmother in college and the handphone was one of the fastest ways for us to reach other. My relatives would call me if anything happened to my grandmother and vice versa. My collegemates would also call me on the comp if they had need to, but there is a cut off time: If they call me after 2am I'd kill them the next day. ^_^
I don't switch the phone off now in case my boyfriend wants to call me (we can have really weird schedules) so I leave it on most of the time.
