Cooking was never a passion to me. Infact I need someone to cook for me and other than demanding to make food of my choice I would never even lift a plate or enter the kitchen to assist. But these days I not only enter the kitchen but make a full meal for me and my boyfriend. I find myself planning in advance what to make the next day. Surprisingly whatever I make is turning out good too with salt and spice in the correct proportion and tasty too considering the fact that I am not much experienced in the art of cooking . I have started to love cooking these days.
Sometimes my Boyfriend cooks too. He shops for groceries, cuts vegitables, cleans vessals and even serve food too which he normally does not do at his home. Recently he made some food at his home and his mother was pleasantly surprised as to how nicely he cook. Well, I think love can make you do things which you never even dreamt of doing. Please share your experiences.

It is interesting to know that 'love' can one a good cook irrespective of gender. As you say if you are in love, you would execute those tasks also, which you normally do not carry out. Cooking food for one's beloved is really a very heartening and satisfying experience and if you or your friend enjoy to cook for each other of for that matter help each other in churning out good dishes, nothing can be more interesting than this. In the process, you and he would become a good cook and when need arises anyone of you can cook for each other or you can cook together and enjoy your meals.

I don't like cooking either. My boyfriend is the cook. He loves to cook and cooks a LOT more than I do. I only cook every now and then, when I feel like it. It always been like this for us so we're used to it.

I hate cooking and the only time I cook is if I have to. I am lucky my husband loves to cook. I do feel bad because I'm the one that stays home and takes care of the kids but hes the one that comes home and does all the cooking.

Hi Anamika, I think it is your love who has taken over old one in you. These are all shades of love. Now you can understand that love can move the mountains, so who is Anamika. Now you are in true love you can over come all of your weakness with the essence of love. Whatever you cook with love, for love will be perfect.
Its love who change you to do things which is not on your priority. So keep doing adventures and enjoy life with love. All the best.

Hi Mahesh! Yeah it is said that love can move mountains. I too see myself doing a lot of things which I otherwise don't do to please my partner and even enjoying it. Thanks for your response. It is a wellknown fact that Indian men are not much into cooking. Have you ever tried your hand in the kitchen?

Hi hanreq! You could buy some cookery books where you have step by step instructions as to what to be done. Microwave cooking is much easier because there is not much one has to do there.Pots and pans can be fun once you learn cooking. All the best!

Whether it is cooking or anything else, doing it for someone you care about makes it much more worthwhile. It is always nice to do things for those we love, and to know that what we are doing is appreciated.

Me? I love to cook and the fact that my daughter loves to eat makes it even more enjoyable for me.
I like to experiment - even when it does not come out right but we eat it same way though.
I am glad that younow enjoy cooking. I think it would be fun for me to have a guy to cook for too.
Best weishes girl.

Personally I have always loved cooking, and it just so happens that I married a man that loves cooking just as much, so what we will do is trade nights, so that we both get the opportunity to show our stuff in the kitchen. And in return, whichever does the cooking the other will do the cleaning up.

I'm well cooked about for rice only. I can also prepare nudles. So it is really tough for me firstly to cook anything nicely but if it is really like a matter that the partner you specifies is my favourite one then I'm very glad to cook for her occassionally. That's all. I think so far.

Yes you are right! Love can make you do things you never dreamt of doing! I love cooking! I always make it a point to personally prepare the food for my family everyday. And I make sure they all enjoy every meal we have together. For me it's such a joy when I see that they are all eating well. My personal problem is my own appetite! ( http://www.paulynramirez.com/my-eating-problem/ ). No matter how good I cook, I don't have that same appetite they all have in eating. I rarely eat as well as they all do!

Hello there. I like to cook too especially for my family. But I have to be honest that my husband can cook better than me. So what often happen is the other way around, that he is the one will prepare the food for our family dinner. So us lots for not going out to the restaurant since his foods mostly taste better than the one from restaurant.
