Do you use hair conditioners?

My hair is so long that if I don't put some type of conditioner in it after washing it I will never get through the tangle of snarls that it will end up in. When I'm in the shower I wash my hair first and put the conditioner. I leave the conditioner on while I'm showering and rinse it out at the end giving it enough time to soak in good so I'll be able to get a comb through it when I'm done.
Are you in the habit of using hair conditioners? Do you have a favorite or do you buy whatever is on sale? Do you keep it in your hair a specific length of time or rinse it out immediately?

No, I have tried before, but my hair is too thin to use it...it ends up like a handful of wet spaghetti, so just shampoo for me.

I think people with long hair have no choice but to use a conditioner. How else would we be able to comb our hair right?

I have long hair too and always have to use conditioner after shampooing my hair - if I don't it ends up dry and coarse/frizzy - I usually leave it in for a while to and then rinse it out when I'm about done with my shower. I'm a pantene fan so I use their products a lot.

Since I've been getting a discount at work Pantene has become one of my favorites. Before I worked I couldn't afford it very often.

I also have to use a conditioner on my hair, ctry because it is long and tangles easily. I hate tangles since I am what they call tender-headed. Sometimes I will use the rinse-out conditioner, and I also use a leave-in conditioner. They make my hair so much more manageable.

I've tried a few leave in conditioners and they never seem to help me with the snarls and tangles. I'm sticking to the rinse out type.

I use conditioner all the time, when I was my hair. but not only that I use all kinda hair cure and threatments for my hair to have them healthy and shiny. I don't have really favorite conodtioner, I think the best I have was Loreal , but I like to change it and try a new one all the time. And yeah price is important too, I just don't see a sense to spend on them so much money. I would apply condioner only at the ned of my hair and massage good and rinse after 1 minutes.

When my hair was shorter I could do just the ends but now that doesn't work for me. I would have too many snarls to comb through.

I couldn't put any type of oil on my hair because it's already very oily to begin with.

My hair is buzzed yet I still use conditioners. When I had my long hair I had to use it or attmept to brush out all the snarls from washing it. HAHAHA! My hair used to be almost to my waist at one time. yeah I had friends that called me Hippy Bob called my wife Mrs Hippy and our daughter when she 2 was called The Lil' Hippy. HAHAHA! That was about 27 years ago though. I have grown up a little anyhow.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I love using conditioner my hair type is naturally curly well wavy my I also have very thick hair I like using tea tree oil is fantastic I use that and conditioner you can also use a hair mask from time to time. I think its important to keep your hair well conditioned. I always use shampoo and conditioner unless using Avon advanced techniques which has a 3 in 1 technique and contains conditioner as well as shampoo. The Avon is my favourite because it makes my hair really soft and I don't have to wash it seperately. I usually leave it in a few minutes then rinse out.

I like to apply some conditioners to my hair after washing it with shampoo. I then will rub my hair thoroughly with both hands for a while. When I feel the hair is silky enough I then rinse it in the shower until it is completely clean. I feel it is easier to comb my hair after being treated with conditioner.

I use conditioner. I use herbal essence, is that how you spell that? lol. Anyways, I have shorter hair now, and it tends to get oily fast. So i Shampoo and then condition, but i rinse it out right away. When i had long hair though, i used to let it sit on there too or else i couldnt get the brush through it. that's actually why i cut it. I was super sick of the tangled mess! I have really thin hair.

I used to have super long hair...braided it was down to my butt. Well I had a comb from Avon, that had very few teeth. It was a big chunky plastic one. I would but the conditioner on in the shower, then comb while the conditioner was still on, I rinsed after the hair was combed out.
It cut my combing time down to almost nothing.
Attached is a picture - they have them on Amazon.

I have to use conditioner with my hair or it turns out like rough rope. I use Sauve b/c right now I'm not allergic to it. I use Sauve Shampoo too. I have alot of allergies to different chemicals so there are alot of products I can't use but Sauve I can and it seems to work really well. I used to use White Rain but I developed an allergy to it and had to switch.
I generally shampoo first, then put in conditioner and let it sit while I wash and rinse the rest of me then I rinse it out.

Yes but it is one of two varieties I use: an all-pressed virgin olive oil conditioner for normal maintenance and a homemade mayonnaise, egg yolk and a little peach mango suave vitamin e enriched with milk protein conditioner applied for 10 minutes.
I love the mayonnaise addition because it really softens and strengthens the hair shaft making it glisten without any added chemical residue left behind. If I never had to use another store bought brand again, I will soon . . .

I use conditioner every time I wash. My hair is kinda long so it would be knots and dried out if I didn't. I had so much free conditioner from freebie find that I didn't need to buy any for three years. I just bought my first bottle recently after all these years. LOL I pick up the herbal essences because it is pretty cheap but works good for me. The really cheap stuff I use way to much of and run out of it quickly.

I do the same thing with the really cheap stuff and it does go so much faster. My hair gets so tangled when I wash it.

I like to keep my hair rather short so I don't use conditioners any more. When I was a toddler my hair was very curly but as I grew up I lost the curle. Recently since I have stopped using hair conditioner my hair is once again becoming curly as long as I let it dry with out combing it before it is dry. I like short hair because it is so much easier to take care of.

OMG if my daughter and I DON'T use conditioner getting a brush through our hair wouldn't happen! More so for me since my hair is very long but both of us have very thick, very curly hair....I buy the Herbal Essence Totally Twisted which works nice and doesn't smell like crap LOL..When I still lived in Canada I was a HUGE Revlon Outrageous fan but I have never been able to find it here..

Yes I do have a regular habit of using conditioner after shampooing. I usually just leave it for maybe around a minute to 2 minutes. My hair is not so thick therefore leaving it there for too long sometimes makes me feel like my hair feels like there is no volume. So I just leave it on for a really short time just to leave my hair with a softer feel.

omg yes i have to use conditioner on my hair or i wont even get a comb through it,i have very curly and thick hair and it tends to get very dry because of the texture,so being a hairdresser for over 15 years i know all the in's and out's of the hair products.now even though i am a professional hairstylist,i dont use the most expensive products out there because really 90 percent of them you are just paying for the name.if you ever buy the genernic brands of like matrix or biolage or nexxus, suave makes them.look at the ingriedients and you will be suprised that they are almost identical, the only difference is the company name.trust me i have used all the top brands like bumble &bumble, nexxus etc,and the best one on my hair is the suave but it has to be the tropical coconut flavor, for some reason thats the only hair conditioner where i can comb my hair so easily and have no tangels what so ever.it really all depends on your hair itself.pattie

i use Aussie hair products because they smell great and leave my hair shiney and soft and manageable. I have long hair that tangles easily and so I have to alway shampoo and then after that condition. I use the three minute miracle because it does the best job in rehydrating your hair and fixing damage.
here is a link about the conditionar that I use.

I do keep it in for a while like while I'm shaving and finishing up. and I never just go with what's on sale. LOL!! I do however switch the type of aussie products I use.
