One Awesome Food that is NOT Fattening

No, I'm not about to tell you that pizza no longer contains any fat. I'm curious as to your answers to the question, if you could eat any food in the world as much as you want, and it contained absolutely NO fat, which food would that be? Try to limit it to one or two if you can. I know it is hard. I'd probably choose quiche or chicken fried steak. It can be an actual food dish, or just a food item.

Cheesecake and Baked Potatoes. Cheesecake is my favorite dessert in all the world. I can have amazing will power with dieting UNTIL it comes to cheesecake. I slip all the time on it. Baked potatoes with butter and sour cream are the thing I miss the most right now. I've been using spray butter with no fat or calories and I've been using reduced-fat sour cream. It's just not the same! I've already had the cheesecake tonight (fudge brownie at that), but now I'm craving a baked potato. Good thing it's bed time :)

I love baked potatoes! I can tolerate low fat sour cream, but NOT low fat cheddar cheese. That stuff just tastes nasty to me, lol.

If you did not brush your teeth yet, you can still eat that baked potato. :)

The first thing that comes to my mind as I read this is Cheese Cake! I'm not too much on fried foods, so that I don't have to worry with. I could take it or leave it when it comes to these types of foods. But right at this moment cheese cake is making my mouth water for a piece or two!

I am one of those lucky ones who can eat what they want without putting on any weight at all - the only thing that stops me eating as much as I would like is that it costs too much! I like just about anything from chocolate to biscuits, cake, cheese, crisps (chips), red meat, white meat, fish.... I just love my food... I started to eat more fruit lately as I figured my diet lacked some essentials, but I'm afraid I eat like a horse and have weighed pretty much the same for the last twenty years or more... [sorry!]

It may sound crazy, but I always wanted to put on weight when I was growing up - I would still like to be a bit heavier, but am basically happy with my weight now. I guess it's all down to metabolism, and it seems for every one of those like me, there are about fifty who do have to watch what they eat, and maybe another ten or so who have serious problems with weight simply through the DNA that they have. I have absolutely no dietary discipline, so if my metabolism ever started to slow down, I would really have a problem. I play sport for two hours a week, and I personally believe that controlling weight is as much about the exercise you do, as about the food you eat. (but then that's easy for me to say)

LOL, I also happen to have arthritis and fibromyalgia. The only exercise I've been permitted to do is walking. And boy do I walk! It's hard to believe I'm 26 and falling apart. My metabolism isn't the problem, it is an endocronology matter and funny enough it only happens to women. If I could give you some of my weight I would, lol. But I'll eventually get to where I want to be. Never give up hope, right! : )

Growing up I didn't know why I could never lose weight even with diet and exercise. In my early twenties I found out I had a disease that actually would make me put on weight. With medication, I can now lose weight with an extremely strict diet and exercise, but if I gain weight it is as the doctor put it, it is ten times harder for me to lose the weight again as it would be a 'normal' person. So I say eat that fruit, but also live it up! I'll live vicariously through you! : )

What is chicken fried steak? I'd probably choose cheese and mayonnaise. Those two things I put on ALL of my food. Well, most of my food. One of my favourites is to put a big dollop of whole egg mayonnaise on top of a big bowl of spaghetti bolognaise. Yum! Of course with mountains of cheese piled on top. I also like to put mayonnaise on pizza once it's delivered. I'm lucky because I have a fast metabolism and it's hard for me to put on weight but as I get older, I find the little bits of fat I do gain are much harder to budge than they used to be, so I may have to cut back on the mayonnaise and cheese! Doh!

Chicken fried steak is a piece of beef steak (tenderized cube steak) coated with seasoned flour and pan fried. I haven't had any in years. It is usually served with gravy and often accompanied with fried or mashed potatoes. Yum! I grew up on Miracle Whip so I don't think I've ever had whole egg mayo. I'm intrigued now at the thought of putting it on spaghetti!

They call it chicken fried steak because you cook it just like you would fried chicken. The name is deceiving until a person really thinks about it: chicken fried steak. Steak fried like chicken. When I was a kid I seriously thought there was a chicken connection. : )

Oh, then why is it called CHICKEN fried steak? This sounds delicious anyway! Yeah mayo on the spaghetti is nice if you can handle it. It's quite strong and if you put too much mayo on , it makes you sick. but then again, I am a weirdo.

Pam, you question causes me to wonder what food/recipe as the least amount of calories and fat in it? I wonder if cabbage soup would be about the lowest in fat and calories as one could get? I love your question and I would say I have two foods that I wish were the healthiest foods in the world to eat. They would be cheesecake and french fries. I love them both plain. Plain cheesecake with a little strawberry sauce over top and fries the good old fashionway with no spices on them. Yup I have to admit I sure do love those two foods.

I'd say peanut butter for sure...I love PB & J or peanut butter just by itself..I could eat it everyday. Also, my mom's homemade cookies...they're delicious but of course fattening too.

Anything sweet. I am a sugarholic. I wish that I could eat all the cakes, cookies, candy, pies, donuts, etc. etc. that I wanted to and never gain a pound.

Amber, Amber, it can't be quiche. You can defat quiche. I make quiche all the time. You can defat pizza. The one thing you cannot defat is Stouffer's Mac and Cheese...and Greek Spinach pie.

Let me put it this way, I am NOT eating quiche with fat free cheese, LOL. I can't stomach the taste of that stuff. I mean foods how you normally eat them. I don't normally eat fat free cheese. My parents should have cooked with that and then maybe I'd have grown up thinking that taste was the norm. : )

Fat free cheese probably did not exist back then. How about low fat cheese?

I would choose macaroni and cheese, but it would have to taste like it had all the usual fat in it, like the kind I make with about 7 different kinds of cheese.

Exactly. That's what I mean. I think some got the wrong idea. I know I can make some of these foods without fat, but I'm talking about foods without fat that taste exactly how they would if they did have fat.

hmm that one is hard. I try to watch what I eat but sometimes I fall off track and see something I really want or smell it and no I'm not big and fat. I guess I will have to change the way I eat a bit more when I hit 30 but for now I'm doing pretty well. I think if I had to pick one food that I could eat as much as I wanted without it having any fat I would chose banana split they are so yummy and have so many different things in it. I get full when I eat half of one but I just stick the rest in the freezer for later. Not sure how much fat it has but I know its alot.

I would have to choose lasagna, I would eat it at least once a week if could, my mom use to make lasagna for my birthday every year before she moved. I know there is lots of fat because she doesn't use low fat cheese, thats why it taste so good. So I woud choose lasagna and regular butter pecan ice cream. I always use low fat or fat free ice cream, it would be wonderful to have the regular. Thanks, now I really have a taste for this delicious dinner.lol Have a nice day!

If I could eat one food and it contained absolutly no fat whatsoever it would definatly be pizza. I am completley addicted to pizza. I like it with a small amount of cheeze and ham and bacon. I like pan pizza with a thick soft crust. My favourite pizza is definatly from Pizza Hut or perhaps Boston Pizza. They both make incredibly good pizza. If I had to pick a second choice for a food that contained no fat I would probably pick homemade spaghetti. I absolutly adore home made spaghetti. I do not eat it with any ground beef or even vegetables just the pasta noodles with ragu origional pasta sauce.

But there is no fat in that. The discussion is about what food would you like to eat over and over again if there was no fat in it? Frozen grapes are good.
