Some of you may know that lately I bought a bread maker machine and perhaps you are eager to know its result. Please see the attached photo for the bread I made by this machine.
Unfortunately I made some mistakes to measure the material. So the bread seems to be harder, like a French bread Although I wanted to make a normal bread at first. If not, I think the result will be better. I have to say this machine is quite convenient. I just put all the material inside and set the time when I need to eat it. Then it will count down and finish the bread at your set time. Hopefully next time I will gain a huge success

It actually looks very good to me. I would love to get a bread machine someday. I'm glad you are having fun with your bread. Feel free to show us some more pictures of what you make with it in the future.

Almost every time I make bread in my bread machine it rises so nicely and then collapses before it's fully baked...I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. It's still edible and I like dense bread but I wish it would be a nice big risen loaf one of these times. My machine is also a bit noisy so I don't use it that often...maybe once a month...sometimes once every 3 months or so...I kind of forget it's there stashed in the cabinet.

oh, you got the machine and used it already! wow! I am sorry that your first attempt did not quite come out as you had hoped... I am glad you are not giving up on it so soon.
www.hillbillyhousewife.com is a fun site that has a lot of bread machine recipes.

ha ha ha ha ha... don't worry. You will get it right the next time.
It took me a few cakes before I managed to perfect my recipe.
It has been a long time since I baked. And I still make mistakes once in a while.
As long as you are the one who makes it, it some how tastes better. Even if it is a little harder than what you planned.

Interesting! Well, I think it takes a few times to try and get the measurements right but at least it's working! I am happy for you and the machine definitely sounds interesting and convenient. Have fun with it!

Hello dear youless. I have seen your bread already under the first responder. I think that it looks very good and tasty to me. You are great to be capable of making some so many kinds of tasty food. I remember that you cooked something different last weekend. It is so nice for your son and hubby to have so good a mum and wife. You are great.

I am looking all over for your photo and cannot understand why others can see it and I cannot! I will come back and look again another time. I'm sure it is lovely. It takes 2 or 3 practice loaves to get the bread perfect but then it will be perfect every time. This is so exciting!

Good for you! I don't see a picture here, but I'm sure it looks just fine.
I've tried to make my own bread (without a machine) several times over the years and it never came out right for me. I think I was too impatient and didn't knead long enough, let rise enough, etc.
I've used a bread machine before and it comes out ok, but to me it's just not the same. (Not knocking you at all, I just think it's a bit different is all).
I decided last week to give it another try and made two loaves and they came out great! I had enough flour and yeast to make two more loaves yesterday and they were good too, so I think my patience has paid off, and I will make it more often.
Don't you just love the smell of yeast/bread rising, and then baking? Mmmmm mmm !!!

I see it now.
I still say that as long as whatever you make is edible and doesn't get thrown away, you've done well.
(This goes for everything, not just bread!)

making bread is still baking - it is a science and entails exact measures. You might have placed too much flour or maybe the dough has been kneaded for too long. those are the only reasons I know that could affect your bread using a bread machine. The one thing about my bread machine before is that I can set a time when I would like to have my bread done. Nowadays, though, I make my bready by hand. It is still the best way to make bread you know.

It doesn't look too bad to me. I've made much worse. Next time will be better I'm sure. You have to be very careful with the measurements with baking for everything to come out right.

I'll just bet it was wonderful, though. I love a *crusty* bread. I have trouble with my bread machine 'baking'. It mixes up just fine but it seems like all of my breads have a hard outer crust. So...I just use the dough cycle. And then I finish my forming and baking in the oven at 350 degrees and the breads that I make turns out wonderful. I do all of my breads this way now.

That's okay. French bread is good. Not a bad thing to happen your first time.
It will only get better the more times you use it. You will come up with many
recipes and some will become your family's favorites others will be for special
occassions. Just keep on trying it will all be great!!
