How often do you quality for surveys?

I just clicked on the email link for one of my surveys sites I belong to. I did this survey, or at least I thought it was the survey, and then found out I didn't qualify for the "survey". I've gotten a few rewards from some of the surveys sites, took a long time to get to that $10.00 certificate or reward though. I'm thinking of giving up on most of them except for my favorite Pinecone Research. Maybe I'm just in the wrong demographic group now. If any of you are qualifying and getting through these surveys for the rewards, why do you think that is? Or do you think these mini qualifying surveys are the whole point - getting our answers for nothing?

This happened to me many times, until I reached the point where I just deleted the mail and forgot about it. My time is valuable and I don't wish to waste ten minutes at a time to be told that the survey was no longer available in my area, or that I didn't qualify for some other unearthly reason. So, I gave up!
Brightest Blessings.

you have my sympathy as this has happened to me so many times I deleted greenfield as I never qualified for them not ever and they send me new surveys every day and I just delete them. I hae four that do work for me and that I guess is enough.

Honestly I don't waste my time on surveys. I just don't like doing them like I once did. Most of them require you to spend a lot of time on them and you don't much for it. At least over here you are talking to others and getting paid for it!! I mean some may enjoy doing surveys but its not really my cup of tea.

I just mentioned that I'm losing patience with these long involved surveys you get a couple points for doing too. If I ever win one of the raffles, my belief will be restored in doing them lol. In the long term, I'm sure MyLot pays much better.

I'd say that I only get into maybe 10% of the ones I start answering questions for. It p!sses me off that a company/group I sign up with does not retain previous answers from the pre-surveys and do a better job of screening what they send to members. Too many of the survey sites are turning into scams. Several survey places have you complete a long survey and then ask again for some personal info like zipcode or age and then tell you you're not qualified after getting all that other info from you previously. That is a ripoff!!! OTX is one company that does that and I am spending the news that they rip you off!

I agree that the previous answers should be retained. I just quit another one today because I don't want to be screened in detail every single time, and then don't qualify. Someone also said that if you answer the questions too quickly, they don't want you either. I'll help you spread the word on OTX - it comes up on several different survey invitations too.

I belong to pine cone. I don't get the surveys that you get paid for as often as I use to.... Must be because I'm not in the 18-25 age range any more :( I do still get them ocassionaly though. I also do Mysurvey. At least you get 10 points for filling out ANY survey they have for you.... I cash out once or twice a year there.

I have joined many survey sites over the past few weeks, some of them I get absolutely nothing from, some I get a few but do not qualify, but a couple are good and I do ok with them. I think that is the thing with these kinds of things, you have to root out the ones that work for you and then just get rid of the ones that waste your time and pay you nothing in return. I find that some of the better ones take a while to send you anything but then when they do and you answer them they send you more. So I think the mini qualifying surveys are mainly to gauge what category you fit into so they can send you the surveys that meet your criteria.

Wait until you get the mini-qualifying surveys that are pages and pages long asking for your entire life story and then disqualified you. haha, boy is that a waste of time. I agree that we have to weed through this stuff, there are a few good companies out there.

I'm apart of quite a lot of survey sites. I get new survey opportunities in my email box everyday. Out of about 10 a day, I qualify for maybe 1 or 2. I also try to take the surveys on InboxDollars, and have only qualifed for 4 so far in 2 weeks time. I think that if your determined, and try, you can get somewhere, but it's going to take patience. I may not get much from my surveys, but in the end it adds up. I qualifed for a $2 from SurveySpot just the other day, that was the most exciting survey I've taken thus far.
I tried to sign up for PineCone Research, but they haven't emailed me back. I'm guessing I didn't qualify at this time, but I will keep trying. I really want to be a part of that panel, as it seems to be trusted by many people.
Good luck on your surveys, I hope you qualify for some soon. I know it is very frusterating when you get halfway through a survey only for them to tell you that you didn't qualify.

Pinecone is a great site and I've belonged to it now for years. It's worth it to keep trying. I've weeded out some already, but should give the sites that give those incredibly long qualifying surveys a piece of my mind, just to at least vent. Good luck to you on the surveys!

Most of the time i do not. Now i do not have any idea how these online surveys are made. whenever i try to answer, say after answering few question it says you are not eligible or we have already got enough response.. i think i will never be paid.

I was doing so many of those surveys at one time, whittby, but I never seemed to earn anything from them, so I stopped doing them at all. They take far too much time and the rewards are too few. I even did one where they sent me a magazine to study and prepare to answer questions. All I got for my trouble was the copy of the magazine!

I'm beginning to think they must have the idea we are all so desperate for the pennies or something to do that we'll gladly participate. I quit all except 3 or 4 and those may go by the wayside. I'll keep my favorite PineCone for sure though.

It's been awhile since I've done any surveys. I've done them in the past. But between MyLot and Yuwie, I don't have much time for them with working 50 hour weeks.
Though I do have to agree with you that I didn't do many surveys because of qualifications or because they had already reached their quota for the survey.

Since I started this discussion, I've weeded through the sites and am down to about 3 or 4. Too much time wasted on those long qualifications. Lately I have to really be in the mood for some of these surveys too, I get halfway through and start thinking how long is this going to take for pete's sake!

whittby I belong to a lot of survey sites, and normally enjoy doing them, but I have quit doing the ones that are for drawings. I decided that was just too much of a waste of my time, and it seems that these are the ones that take more time to complete. Like you I love Pine Cone, mindfield is another I like and my view is pretty good. The one I absolutely refuse to do anymore is survey spot. Even when they offer money for the survey, they will let you answer questions all the way to the end, then up come a "Sorry but you didn't qualify", this after I have already been ansering questions for 10 to 15 minutes. I emailed them and let loose. So if anyone gets an invite for them, just say no, for your own sake.

Survey Spot hit the trash for me. I can't believe those long supposedly qualifying surveys. I'll do it once, shame on you, twice.... I think that's how it goes lol. PineCone is a really good one. I just checked out Myview and will register, I guess I haven't given up completely...

whittby it really annoys me that they start you doing the survey and then at the end if it ,they tell you the quota is full.i think it is a scam when they do that and they get the survey for nothing.i actually complained to the company this survey site was working for and they did not realise this is what they were donig and they sent a beautiful box of liptons teas.i just delete them now.cheers sue

Maybe I should email the company next time it happens too. It is sooo irritating and I've quit doing the surveys. I'll try once more and see if I get a reponse or not, you never know. I delete most of them too, with the time spent on MyLot, I don't have time or patience left usually.

Hello! I know what you mean! I get disqualified a lot more than I qualify, or I get the "we have filled our quota" response even though sometimes I respond right away if I'm online. The only ones I actively do besides Pinecone, is Lightspeed Research which I've been paid from several times. and American Consumer Opinions. Other than those, I really don't do them anymore either. Good luck to you!

LOL Pinecone is one that I belong to for a loooooong time I earned a LOT of money with them.. within the last year of my membership NONE of the surveys they sent me did I qualify for. I canceled my membership with them. There are a couple that are ok. But for the most part, I am finding either I get errors after I spent 25 minutes and then it tells me I've completed and I don't get credit, or I spend 10 minutes answering the questions only to be told I don't qualify. Drives me crazy. I am thinking about canceling ALL of my memberships with these survey sites

The only survey site I work with is Pinecone. I haven't received any surveys from them since about January so am wondering what's happening. They are reliable and pay right on time. The other survey sites, in my opinion, are a waste of time. I've tried several and either I answer a ton of questions and receive nothing but points or don't qualify. I quit wasting my time.

I myself qualify all most for every survey i get from diffrent companys.I dont think age has alot to do with the survey, its how you answer them. Most survey are on a timer an if you answer to quick you will get disquailfy. They think you are not reading the question.

I understand what you're saying completely. I joined several survey sites at one time and found that I know longer will participate because I either don't qualify for the survey (after 10 minutes of preliminary questions) or that they take too long. I only participate in one survey site now because I know that I'll qualify before hand. If, for some reason I don't they still award me the points. I've been paid twice now from them and have been a member for some time.

I don't qualify for a lot of surveys and I only belong to two survey researchers. The surveys are geared mostly to a selected group of people. For instance people from 25 to 45 years old so I then would not qualify. I don't think many surveys pay any amount of money to make it worth while.

Not very often and then the ones I do qualify for, are the ones that don't pay and only put your name into a draw. I belong to over 600 survey sites and I have only earned about $60 in total, from all of them, in about 2 years. I get about 60 emails a day from different sites but hardly ever any paying ones. It is all a scam as far as I am concerned. By the way, I paid $39.95 for the list of those 600 sites and that is why I think I got scammed. I will never buy another list. When I bought that list I had high hopes of making some real money on the internet but since then I have found out there is no real money to be made, on the internet.

I am getting so sick of not qualifying for surveys and I think it is because I am a senior citizen rather than a younger person and I do not have a car or the latest electronic gadjets. would love to see some surveys that were slanted for older persons we need money too as well as anyone else. some are slanted for particular groups or people who have all the latest stuff which seemsa bit unfair.I could not get qualified for any surveys from pinecone but do get surveys from mysurvey andsurvey spot and opinion outcast and harris poll and npd.

Hatley, A good one for us "Older Folks" is called Focus Forward. They pay good money, and most of the surveys they send are geared toward older peoples issues, health, medicenes etc. and they are fast paying once you qualify, and complete their surveys.
