my cusion just got the wii and we stopped at her house the other day and i tried it. i love it! its an active game not one where you sit on your butt and push buttons. we are talking about getting one when we have the money. i was sweating playing this game. i think it would be great for cold or rainy days. we could all play and not just sit around on our butts. today is rainy and we plain on staying in and doing crafts and playing games. the kids would love to have one to play today. anyone have one? do you like it? what is the good and bad of them?

we got the wii a while back. At first we loved it. The bowling was fun and we would have bowling parties. The games are kind of expensive and we didn't like most of them we had bought. We bought mario party but didn't like it. we had one for game cube that we liked better. maybe if we had started out with the wii one we could have liked it. We got monkey ball. I hated it but my daughter liked it. My husband has a hard time finding games he likes on it and is now wishing he had bought a PS3. I think after a while it starts losing its appeal.

oh bummer!
i have never even looked at the games for it other then the one my cusion had. i guess we should do that first. my cusion said they have hunting games which my husband and son would love. i liked the whole idea of it being more active. my son wants a ps3 but we aren't sure weather to get him cuz we don't think hes active enough as it is. i also liked it cuz i could play it,i normally don't play games but i really enjoyed my self. i'll have to check out the games and check in on my cusions every once in awhile to see what games she has.
thanks a bunch

They do have a really cool fishing game and a couple of hunting games. My husband did like those but he beats them way to quickly on any system lol. The games for the wii are cheaper than the ps3. I am not much of a gamer either and the wii to me was more fun than the rest. You can also play game cube games on the wii but they are getting hard to find. If you have a game x-change or game stop you can sometimes get them used at about half off. Got to really watch the prices though because sometimes wal- mart or best buy will actually be cheaper than the used places. The Ps3 I was told no longer plays the ps2 games. They changed it and only one certain model plays both the ps2 and ps3 games; that model is hard to find. So if being able to play more than that systems games are important to you that is another thing to consider. The wii can make a peson work up a sweat and I think if we played it more often we might all lose a few pounds. I do like our wii and I bet you all will to I just know that we all quit playing it after a while. Ours hasn't been played in months. Best of luck to you.

i thought the ps3 was going to play the ps2 games,if not then i'm not sure i want to get one either. i guess they would make more money that way. we have so many games for the ps2 cuz when my husband was in iraq that is all he did and with me,him and everyone else sending him new games he came home with a case full. it would be a waste. oh well i guess thats the way they are gonna make their money.

I don't own one, but I have heard people talk about how much fun they are and at least you do get physical exercise by actually making the moves that you would be if you were truly playing whatever it is that you are playing. Though I have heard people can get physical injuries as well.

all of a sudden all these old discussions are coming up. Are you getting any of them?
I hate video games, I never could get used to them.

I have never tried to play with the Wii yet. We only have a playstation2 right now. I don't know of anyone who has the Wii either around me. I bet it is a whole lot of fun though. I think I would like to have one for the exercise also. My husband and I played gold online together the other day and that was fun also even though I never could stand golf LOL. I have learned alot of the gold terms and have fun with it.

I hate video games, too, but this has me intrigued and I hear so many people my age saying they really have a blast with it! I may have to try it myself.
