Are you afraid of a snake?

Hi july. I think that the snakes's skin is beautiful and I don't afraid of snakes but I realy don't want one for pet.

I used to be many years ago, then I became a single mom of 5 kids, 4 of them boys, my boys would bring home snakes from the park all the time, at first I was so scared but didnt want them to know, I kept repeating in my head, if I were a dad what would I say, and after a while it got to where it didn't bother me, I let them keep their snakes for 3 days, then told them they had to let them go back to their families so they can do whatever it is snakes do.

Snakes aren't as bad as most people think they are. Check out a local zoos exhibit and ask questions. I love snakes. In the yard they feed on the incests that can bite us or that eat the garden plants etc. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

No snakes dont bother me. Of course I would walk way around a poisonous one. I am more afraid of scorpions. Other things like bugs,and small animals dont bother me.

I'm not really scared of snakes, but I don't necessarily like being around them either. I don't like it when animals scurry or lash out really fast.

If I saw a snake in a zoo or some safe setting then no I wouldnt be bothered, if one appeared in my home then yes I would be scared, mostly that it was venimous and could harm me or my childre, I am actually more frightened of spiders even the tiny little ones, no reason simply the very sight of one has me running the other way and wanting to be sick

I actually like snakes and find them to be fascinating creatures. naturally I would not like to handle a venomous snake such as a black mamba or a krait, but as long as the snake is not dangerous them I feel very comfortable with them.

Yes I have fear of snakes, I would be terrified if I saw one. The other day my friend told me she saw a brown snake in her bird cage, he was too fat from eating her birds that he couldn't get out of the cage. She was freaking out as they are very venomous and can kill you. She got her husband to kill the snake they could not risk it around the children. I hope I never have to see a snake near my house. I have only really seen a snake in the zoo and that is even scary, lol, looking at them through the glass window.

I hate snakes also. I don't mind looking at them if they're behind a glass wall. They terrify me. The reason I'm scared of them is, they bite and the venom could kill me.

I guess I am afraid of them. But for two reasons. First, I don't want to touch, see or be around them. Second, I'm usually outside with my cats on a line. They want to go after the snake. I'm sure the snake isn't poisonous, but I still don't want punture wounds in my cats. They could get infected, hurt the cat and then I would have more vet bills.

I'm with you all the way. I don't even keep the channel on the television if there's one on any show I might be watching.

I don't like snakes either. The thing is i don't know which ones are poisonous or not. They are ugly. I don't understand people who keep these things for pets. Ughhhhh! The only thing worse than a snake is a spider. Kinda of hard to identify poisonous when they are smashed to smitherines. And thats the 1st thing you do when you see one. One nite shortlty after going to bed my foot started iching and did so all nite. The next morning i discovered i'd been bitten by a spider. I didnt even feel anything crawling on me. Or even see it. Scarry.

I am into wild life studies for quite a time,and I am really surprised what makes people fear and hate snakes so much?Do you realize a snake is afraid of you 1000 times more than you are afraid of it? Since humans are not snake's preys,a snake would never attack a human unless there is a potential danger to its own life. For us,the fear of snake is made by stories and TV,but for a snake this fear is REAL! Have you ever heard of a snake chasing a human and attacking? No? Have you heard of humans chasing snakes and killing them? perhaps more than a million times. I have been into Kerala jungles in search of King cobra. We witnessed more than 200 different poisonous snakes and never were attacked. Do you know there are 5 million victims of Dog-bite in USA alone? Total number of snake bites in whole world is not even half of that. Love animals. :-)

i dont hate snakes... ive actually caught a held a few ^-^ ill put that in a better way .. i don't like poisonous ones ehaha

I think most of us really scared of snake. I will be totally freaked out if I ever encounter one. No a good pet to rear.lol

I don't mind snakes that much. My kids don't mind them much either, that kind of scares me. But all I can do is teach them not to touch a wild snake. My mother in law is TERRIFIED of snakes. you mention snake and she starts jumping.

yes i'm scared of snakes.when they bite people,people die.i see snakes but i do not go near them.

I would like the opportunity to touch a snake. I have seen them behind glass but never been able to touch one. I did see one in the wild last year. They are quite common on heaths and rough land in the area where I live, but are rarely seen. I thought I was lucky to see it and I was not afraid. It was retreating after I had accidently disturbed it. I think it was a young one and it must have been scared of me. I would not like to be bitten by one because they are poisonous, but their venom is not fatal.

whew, I don't know exactly is there someone who realy love them if they are wild snakes...lol Although some snakes charmers are also love to play with them and they usually trained their snakes to do what they teach,...

yeah. snakes give me the creeps, almost as much as an annoying politician. i prefer furry animals, but frogs, lizards, bugs, and worms are ok. they dont bother me...but snakes...i think they are cursed since that day in the garden of eden when the serpent made eve and adam sin. so they are considered sleazy, smooth, slimy creatures like salesmen and politicians out to corrupt society and the human race.
