If you have enough money for your whole life now and need not worry about the money problem, what would you do to enjoy your daily life? Would you still have a life goal? Would you still like to go to work? If then what kind of work would you choose? If you want to do something interests you, what would be that? Would you feel a little lonely and empty since you have so much spare time but your friends and other people couldn't accompany you because they have to struggle their way?

I would quit my day job but I would still be a freelance writer! I would travel all over the world and I would also make sure that my friends and family were looked after and had everything they wanted and needed!

Hi angemac23.
You remind me of my dream of being a writer when I was a child.
It would be so exciting when you have mastered the skill of using the language freely. You can express yourself easily and in a smart, elegant, thoughtful way as you like. You can make people who read your work think, imagine, laugh, cry... What a great experience it would be. While for me, years passed, passions and imaginations gone. I can hardly write a vivid and thoughtful article now.
So keep writing and good luck!

Well, this is really a very tough question for me.
I have also asked myself for this question so many times and got so many answer too...
I am very well connected with music and band . So I think I'll do the same with lots of time ...
Another thing which I'll do is .... We are some friend here in kolkata, have dream to make a real NGO and have to do so many things to change the life style of certain society ...
So I think , I'll that ....
Rest of the time , I'll take rest, do mylotting, orkutting and organise get together programme in real life for internet friends ....
thanks !!!

Hi sincere4frdship.
It's also a very tough question for me. I couldn't figure it out now. I have thought it over and over, is there anything that interests me much? The answer is obscure. Maybe i have to learn more, travel farther to find out myself.
You have given such clear descriptions of your goals for you and for the others. You must live a mentally rich life. Maybe you can fulfill them one day.
Best wishes!

I don't think I would do anything differently. Except, I would travel more, visit family more. I would enjoy life more than having to worry about having money for bills, gas, and food all the time. I would like to help out more with my kids schools. I don't think I would feel empty, because my family would fill that void in my life. I would be able to relax, and not stress out all the time.

if i have enough money to live until i die, i think i would still work but the kind of work that doesn't give much stress and which i would enjoy doing like having a bookstore or a gift shop or an anime shop. a store that i can close whenever i want to if i feel like going elsewhere or a store that i can leave to someone's care if i want to go somewhere. i would still have a goal even if i don't have to earn money. that would be to help my family and friends. to have my own family, a husband and a children and fulfill my essence as a woman. i wouldn't feel lonely and empty because i have a lot of spare time. a lot of spare time would just mean i am free if someone close to me needs me. and then, i also like to travel and with that spare time i can pursue that hobby.

hello meetinspring...
oh what a dream, i wish it can happen in my lifetime
anyway, to answer your question.
if i have money that can support me all my life (i will assume my husband too) then we will just be enjoying life in either a trip all around the world.
we both love to have a yacht and a RV so i can assume we already have that too LOL, and we will use that to go places (we both enjoy traveling and exploring the wonders of the world)
i would feel lonely nor empty coz i will be spending all my life doing the dream i have and will enjoy every moment of it. i wouldnt think i will have spare time with all of it coz at night or during a rest period, i still feel happy and contented knowing i have my man (even without the dream of having all the money in the world)
THOUGH
if i am just alone and i have money for life.
i will invest it so i can have a company that will employ my love ones and the poor ones. with such action i dont think i will feel lonely coz i will have more time to spend with family and friends coz they work with me.
i will be happier as well knowing i am helping another's life to reach their goal in life and not just mine.
hope i give you a good insights of what i will do then.
i hope i can win lotto one of these days, haha!
takecare and have a good one!

after seeing others having some help and then after some time go back to asking for help again makes me think that id rather help them in a way that they dont have to depend to anybody's help anymore.
i will give them a job that will make them feel good inside (some dont like to beg and would rather work so hard to attain something) and hopefully such job will grow and help others so me more.
i dont know, just an idea and hopefully others like you will think like that too, wouldnt that be awesome?!!!
hope someday such dream will come true and make our world a better and busy one but in a very loving and fun way.
takecare and have a good one!

Hi jairgirl.
That's a great idea to have a company and employ the love ones and the poor ones. It will help the poor ones in a continuable way. And we will feel happy working with the love ones and satisfied when we promote our abilities, open up the horizon and enlarge the cause. Thank you!
Have a good day!

I'd still have goals and dreams, I'd just be able to persue them a little more easily. Yes, i'd still work, and I'd help people who were struggling.
I'd still go after my career I want, I'd still try to publish my books...
Money ain't everything, living's still hard work.
I've never felt lonely in my whole life, as for empty..I wouldn't think so. I mean I'm already taking on the world and struggling, think of what I could do if I wasn't struggling financially. I'd be able to help people and loved ones more.

I do, now at 60. I purchased a motor home and travel in the winter. I found a great RV Park where I can grow a garden so I till the soil, water it and spend many hours watching it grow. I have a dog for a companion and a computer to add spice. I use the public libraries a lot for books and movies. I havn't owned a television set for over 8 years, which may be why I can just enjoy doing small things. As for goals, nothing other than keeping my garden green. As for other people and their struggles, we all make choices, some of us just seem to have made the right ones. I have offered financial help to many of my friends and none of them have taken me up on it.

If i have made enough money, i will start to settle down, be a full time stay at home mother. My mother has spent her whole life working, and spent the least of time with the family, we didn't have much time to talk, and if we do have, we have no topic of interest. I don't want the same thing happen to me and my future son & daughter.

Hi serena_wai.
That's really important. I don't think the same thing would happen to you and your children even if you are not rich enough to be a full time home-stay mother. Since you care so much about it, you would handle it very well.
Best wishes!

I would write until my fingers wore out and try to get
it published.I would help my son with all the bills and I would do a little traveling like a trip to Ireland and
Scotland. Iwould open a little business that I could run even though i am handicapped and enjoy making a little profit on it by choosing some service that everyone needs.

Wow, I actually always say, "If I had money to burn..." but I never really sat and really "think out" what I would do with my life then.
I have had ideas cross my mind though,
To enjoy my daily life, well if my S/O still choose to work at that point I would open a small catering business, specifically for baked goods and would limit the amount of orders I take per day (cause I won't be doing it for money but just to keep occupied)
Believe it or not, I currently do not have a specific life goal, except to be financially secure in my future. Sounds odd huh?
Concerning work, I guess tat is really the catering business I mentioned above. But let's just say I didn't have that into play...the yeah, I'd look for a job, but would probably want to work under my own conditions which won't sit well with others. Maybe I'll just stick to having my own thing.
Something that interests me huh? Many things do...
I think I'd travel alot, but my S/O would have to come with me.
Actually, yes...but if I have my hunny with me, then I guess I won't feel that way.
But before i had a job and my other friends were doing classes or working and I had freetime, I did feel lonely and empty, so I know what that feels like.

hello roxanne271.
I don't think everyone knows exactly what he/she really wants out of the life, me either. It seems that there's always a short-time goal waiting there for ones to achieve. To finish the education, find a good job, build a family, raise the children, prepare for the retire life, when you're busy on fulfilling these goals, you neglect to ask yourself what you really want or what's your life goal.

I would go back to college and learn something new, I still remember the good times being a student. I really don't mind to be seen as a mature student. It's never too late to learn :)

If I had enough money that would set me for the rest of my life I still would work because I wouldnt want to feel lazy I would do lots of things with my family and friends. I would always include others in my everyday life because I would hate to feel conceded. I know that if I did have money I wouldnt let it go to my head because with alot of people money does go to there head.

I run a small animal-rescue, and there's no way I'd ever stop doing that! Being financially secure would help a lot, so that I could concentrate solely on the rescue. I'd probably be able to help more animals than I do now, if money were no issue.
Beyond that, though, I really enjoy doing things, so I certainly wouldn't stop what I'm doing now. I think I'd keep much the same life, with a few exceptions... I might spend time fixing the house up. I'd probably get a nice digital camera and really take up photography more than just the dabbling I do now.
Beyond our own rescue, I'd spend more time volunteering with other causes and whatnot. I'd love to be able to do that.
I don't think I'd be at all lonely and empty. In fact, I'd probably be more relaxed if money weren't an issue!

Hi, I've asked myself that same question many times. If I could, I would like to do some volunteer work, or be a mentor to a child. I'd do something were I could give back and try to make a difference in someone elses life. I think that I would feel very rewarded and happy if I was able to do something in that realm.

If i had made enough money to live life comfortable AND be able to pursue extras like hobbies and travel. I would take up some hobbies to keep myself entertained and travel. I would continue to work part time because its something to do..something to make you get up in the morning. Not working would get a bit lonely.

Yes, I agree with you. When we don't work, we tend to get up late and that would make us lazy.
Thank you!

If I were to have made enough money for my whole life, I would just sit back and relax and start a small business of my own where it's something of my hobby and this will fill-up my time and not wasted.
