When you're listening music in your computer, which do you like best: listening music using earphones or headset? or you like better using the computer speaker? why? Well, for me, I prefer speaker, because my ear really hurts after a long time using earphones. Even though, the volume was not that high. That's why I am not too fond using it that is, unless if I know people will be disturb on my music like when my family has a visitors. Otherwise, I'll like to used speaker rather than earphones. How about you? Which do you like?

When I'm on computer I always use earphones.
There is always someone around talking or watching TV so I need the earphones while watching movies or listening music.
And I don't want to disturb anyone.
Also when I play games I need to know the direction of my enemy and it's almost impossible to tell it through the speaker.

I am like you. I much prefer to use the speakers but have to resort to the earphones if someone else starts to complain. I like listening to music and often have it playing while I am doing stuff on the computer. But I am into different music then the rest of my family and they do not want to hear what I listen to (I like classical, jazz and new age they like country and hip hop). I never complain about what they listen to but they quit often like to complain about what I like.

Ah, I see, I understand. It's really good of you to understand your family, other people that I know wouldn't really care if others don't want to listen to the music they like. thanks for sharing your opinion,

i don't have a headset but even if i do, i think i would prefer to listen to music with my speakers as i do now. i like the music to be all over my room and then, it would be a hassle to take the headset off again and again when i go away from the computer once in a while. its better to listen with speakers because i can go and about within my room or outside my room and i would still hear the music. and then, i only use my earphones when i'm listening to music using my pocketpc, while i'm traveling or when i'm trying to sleep or relax.

I much prefer to use the speakers... I hate earphones, as I find them restricting, and fear they could be damaging to my ears. I much prefer to listen freely to my music through the speakers. Of course, there are times when neighbours have to be considered, but I don't have a problem with turning down the speakers at the right time.
Brightest Blessings.

Yes, they are restricting lot, you can't work or do anything without removing it on your ear, not to mention they are not healthy to our ears. Thanks for the response and have a nice weekend

I prefere to use the speakers. I am not very fond of earphones - they hurt. I like using external speakers the most. I am usually not in the position to disturb others when I listen to music on the laptop, but I do not ave the volume turned up very high anyways.

Perhaps the earphones that you are using are a bit big for your ears. Maybe you can avail new ones that really fit conveniently in your ears when you listen to music. If not, headsets are also convenient since they really don't have to be plugged into your ears.
As for the topic, I really like listening using speakers. Just loud enough to listen to the music and to have the feel for it but, not too loud that it might disturb others around me or, have others find a difficulty when they want to get my attention in case I'm being called for.

I also experience that pain after using earphones for a long time, even though I could say that the sound quality can be good, the side effect of equiping earphones just doesn't go well with me.
That's why if I can't use speakers, I'd go with head sets.
Your welcome by the way

i like also using speakers that earphones. i am more comfortable if i listen from the speakers. i used only earphones if i have important conversation to a friend or teaching programs to my friends. speakers is commonly used specially in home but if you are in a cafe of course you don't have choice except to used earphones.

I don't use either. My computer is all hooked up through surround sound. Technically speaking yes they are speakers but so much more advanced than the crappy computer speakers that come along with it. We also have sub woofer on it as well. I would never go back to normal computer speakers let alone earphones on this one.

I couldn't stand those little tiny speakers and bass. I need bass. I am a complete tech geek when it comes to base.

i prefer to use earphones. just because i would like to listen to quiet music such as Bandari's Newages and Tamas Wells' gentle folks. earphones can more suitable for these kinds of music without doing ears much harm.

Definitely the speaker but if I need to remain private or not to disturb someone else, then headphones are better than an ear piece.
