Ok, I am starting to get a little pissed off here.. lol.
I wrote a fair size discussion and it did not save and post, this is the third time this has happened to me in two days so I decided to copy and paste my discussion in notepad so I would not lose it. So I still have the content, but myLot will not let me paste, because I do not have enough points?! :( All I have to say is that really sucks. Anyone else have this issue?
I think myLot logs you out after so much time of being idle, is that correct?

They do log you out now if you remain idle for a while, but thats no big worry. But I dont copy and paste a lot at all,but there is something about you have to have so many posts before you are allowed to copy and paste.it could be two hundred,im sure I heard that figure mentioned.

I'm sorry, I know how frustrating that is but you have to have either 100 or 200 posts under your belt before they'll let you copy and paste. Hang in there and you'll be okay.

Hello Daphers,
I have only been here for a short time here and I have no idea how to copy and paste, i have only just about learned how to use smileys and I don't think Mylot log you out for being idle, but what do I know.

Yup It's 500 posts or more until you're allowed to copy and paste. I also wrote a great response last night but was unable to acess this site for teh rest of the night.
I don't think it was mylot that was the problem since I couldn't access a lot of other sites too. Only a few sites like yahoo were the only ones I had access to. I don't know why it might have been some security thing, but its fixed now.

you need 500 or more points if you wan't to paste. The rule is made so it would prevent spamming. Also i haven't have to log in to MyLot in a week(i am always logged in when i visit the site even after days) so the MyLot doesn;t log you out after a while.

I use to hate that when i didn't have enough points to type and I would have to type in everything but once you make that point which is really easy to get to you can start coping and pasting with no problem. It makes it alot easier.

Hi, I too encountered that problem, here I was starting a new discussion, after typing everything I had to say about the topic I pressed the post button and voila, Mylot takes too long to load. Then eventually, I lost all that I typed, so I typed it all again but it was shorter and the same thing happened again. So what I did was copy what I was going to type for further protection against lost and it happened again. I was thinking it was ok since I copied it but mylot won't let me paste it. So it ended up in me not being able to post my discussion.
But I think that it is a good feature of mylot, so that we have to really be active and not just copy and paste everything. But sometimes it just hits at the wrong time. So there.

I never know we can copy and paste after we have reached certain numbers of posts, lol. But normally I will make sure I am not idle for a while before I post my discussion. I will refresh the page first to make sure I am still log in Mylot. I had several experiences as I had already finished written my posts but ended I could not post them. So it's better that we always double check we are in Mylot before we post any discussions. Cheers up,happy posting.

Yeah, it does kind of suck, but you have to understand it from myLot's point of view. They're trying to avoid having people sign up just to spam things over and over again. The 500 post rule is to keep that from happening; you have to be pretty darn dedicated here in order to make it to that point.
I've had that happen before so I can relate, but hang in there!

when you put it like that, i can understand that and i suppose its good really and what keeps mylot nice and clean :))) its just frustrating for people like us that are good mylotters and wouldn't spam..

omg.. you did EXACTLY same as me.. i was getting problems like that, where i lost a big discussion, very annoying, so i also think i will copy so if happened again i only need to paste it, rather then having to type it all out again..
Hmmm but not allow us to, and i just couldn't be bothered to paste it to notepad on computer then type it out again so i gave up on it.
I get logged out often, i go make a drink or get something to eat.. come back not realizing in meantime i was logged out, go to write discussion and have to sign in again.. BUT you dont loose the discussion/response it still be there..
If private message and you get logged out, you loose the whole message and that sucks

Yes, the copy/paste thing sucks. I have had a few good responses that I worked up and wanted to copy/paste something into it and it says no. You have to have 500 posts. Crazy, nonsense.

I see that you are a new user. You only have 18 posts. In order for you to be able to use copy and paste on this site you need to have 500 posts. So then the administrators can be sure you are not a computer generated robot or a spammer. I know its a big pain but keep plugging away. I made 500 posts in 3 months.

I didn't know that until I tried to copy and paste when I first started. Later I found out that you have to have 500 post before you can use that feature. Funny thing I don't even use it now that I can use it . Most of the time I'm commenting to discussions. Then for the few of them that I have started I don't use it. So keep posting and you will reach 500 in no time. Have a good one.

MyLot doesn't log you out. I'm not much in the tech department, but there may be something in your browser setting that is shutting your page down if it's idle for too long. Any techie mylotters out there that can help Daphers on that?
I know how frustrating that can be not to be able to cut and paste. Unfortunately myLot feels that by the time a person posts 500 times they're a good solid citizen and not just here for spamming, so you have to just be patient and bide your time. It will come. :)

I guess most or everybody on here are still experiencing the kind of problem you have. I already made a thousand points ++ and also experienced automatic logging-out. This problem only occurs about a week now when mylot upgrades its site. I just feel sorry for you that you still have to make a lot of posts to be able to use the said feature. Just try to make short responses in the meantime as I think mylot is still finding its way to fix a lot of problems on here. KEEP SMILING = NEIL

Yes it is very annoying. I wish I was already at 500 posts so that I could copy & paste here. I don't see why they make it so only high posts members can copy & paste. A lot of the time when I post something, it logs me out before I can finish the message too.

Yesterday I tried to copy and paste a web address and I had to type them. It was a list of three web address but it didn't piss me off. I understand their intentions. The site does get refreshed many times because the site thinks you have been idle for a long time so you should type fast or make your post quick and simple until you get your 500 points. Just be patient.
